How to configure Instagram for Basic Display
From december 2019 de Instagram Api won't be more available. Even so, Facebook has released an alternative, called Basic Display. This is a Graph which could be used to get user's information, photos and videos.
Instagram Basic Display is almost useless because it's token expires after a hour. In Midrub the option Instagram Profiles uses it to connect the Instagram profiles to allow posting via Android/iOS app.
How to configure Instagram Basic Display:
- In your Facebook App enable the Product Instagram.
- Then click on the option Basic Display.
- Click on the button Create New App.
- Copy the Instagram App ID and Instagram App Secret.
- Paste them in Midrub -> Administrator -> User -> Networks -> Instagram Profiles.
- Copy the Redirect from Midrub -> Administrator -> User -> Networks -> Instagram Profiles.
- Paste it in fields from Client OAuth Settings, Deauthorize and Data Deletion Requests section.
- If you don't have permissions, you can test it by connection your Instagram Accounts in the page Roles.
